Niagara Metals Set to Open 3rd and 4th Location

NIAGARA FALLS, NY – Niagara Metals, has added two new locations in Buffalo NY. A scrap metal recycling facility in North Buffalo and a rail transloading yard in Lackawanna. Niagara Metals acquired the assets and business of Ben Singer and Sons which included both the rail transloading yard and metal recycling facility.

Niagara Metals talks to students about the value of recycling

NIAGARA FALLS, NY – Niagara Metals opened their doors to a group of students from the Love Of Learning Homeschool Group (LOL Homeschool Group), who visited the company’s Royalton site on September 15. The local scrap metal recycler took the group of about 55 students and parents, on a 1-hour tour of their facilities. After the tour, LOL students viewed a special presentation on the importance of metal recycling. Students were then encouraged to ask questions and were challenged by Niagara Metals’ staffers with questions about recycling. Each participant also went home with an informational book about recycling.

GASPORT, NY – Niagara Metals will hold a free, family-friendly fundraising event at its Royalton location from 11 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. “The First Annual Niagara Metals Royalton Summer Picnic and Community Fundraiser” will raise money for several local organizations: Mercy Flight WNY; Roy-Hart Sports Booster Club; and the Gasport Chemical Hose Company, who will be holding a “buck in a boot” drive.

The award was accepted by company founder, owner and president Todd Levin in recognition of Niagara Metals' work to refurbish a dilapidated and abandoned industrial 50-acre site purchased in 2007; the creation of more than 20 full-time jobs without government monies or tax incentives; and the company's support of a wide range of community groups and public initiatives.
